UGA's Natrez Patrick arrested for DUI, marijuana-related charges

NCAAF UGA defender Natrez Patrick arrested after SEC Championship
       This is Patrick's third arrest

University of Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick and reserve wide receiver Jayson Stanley were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana charges Saturday night after the SEC Championship game.

Authorities said Patrick was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over late Saturday that was driven by Georgia backup wide receiver Jayson Stanley, who was charged with speeding and possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana.

According to Barrow County inmate records, Patrick was arrested at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday and booked at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He was part of Georgia's 28-7 victory over Auburn in the SEC Championship on Saturday. Patrick's bond was set at $1,030 and "he was quickly in and out", Smith said. This is his third marijuana-related arrest.

Stanley has been a special teams standout on the kickoff and punt return teams as a gunner.

Patrick was arrested in October for alleged marijuana possession in Athens-Clarke County.

Patrick's first arrest came when he was a freshman at UGA in 2015.

Patrick was arrested just last month on the same charge, but this is his third arrest total.

Patrick was a passenger during a traffic stop, according to Barrow County Sheriff's spokesperson Ryan Sears.

In nine games (seven starts) this season, Patrick has 35 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.
