Acer to unwrap Google Play Store featuring Chromebook 11 at CES 2018

Taiwanese technology conglomerate Acer has announced a new Chromebook at the ongoing CES 2018 tech show in Las Vegas, US.

The Chromebook 14 G5, as the name suggests, has a 14-inch screen size that is configurable with up to HD Touch feature.

The Chromebook 11 is outfitted with an 11.6-inch display that features a surprisingly low 1366×768 resolution, as well as options for touch and non-touch displays.

We're only talking Celeron processing power, with integrated Intel HD Graphics 500, so although mum's the word on retail pricing at the moment, it's pretty obvious students and teachers will be able to easily afford these two.

Battery life is claimed to be up to 10 hours on a single charge and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity ensures you can make the most of Chrome OS and the many online Google software apps, such as Google Docs and Gmail. One is a touch display version and other is non-touch display version. It is a budget-friendly Chromebook and comes with USB Type-C charging.

As the CES 2018 is knocking on the door, HP has come up with an announcement that includes a next-gen Chromebox and two new Chromebooks. Built on lightweight design in focus, the new Chromebook 11 is of 2.43 pounds in weight and the thickness of mere 0.71 inches.

The Acer Chromebook 11 will be available in the United Kingdom and Europe from March. It comes with 2GB or 4GB of memory and 16 GB or 32GB of eMMC storage. Perhaps like Android app support, we'll see Assistant roll to other Chromebooks in the coming months. Plus, customers can use the MicroSD card reader to access and transfer content.
