Donald Trump and Melania arrive at Theresa May's banquet amid protests

Inflatable Donald Trump

The people who started the campaign say that the balloon is a means to ensure that Trump "knows that all of Britain is looking down on him and laughing at him".

Anti-Trump protesters lined the roadway leading to the palace near Oxford - but it's unlikely the Trumps even saw them.

But, he added: "Whether he sees it, whether he reacts to it, we don't really care".

The black-tie dinner was hosted by Prime Minister Theresa May, with other attendees including newly-appointed Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt and his wife Lucia, and business leaders from firms including Blackstone, Blackrock, Diageo, Mclaren and Arup.

Speaking at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels, Trump said the United Kingdom was a "pretty hot spot right now", apparently referring to the political crisis faced by May on the Brexit issue.

The monarch regularly meets Presidents of the United States and their spouses at Windsor Castle, including Barack and Michelle Obama, George W. Bush and Laura Bush, and Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

"I would love to say that I think this is going to be a hugely successful visit but I think it's going to be very hard", he said at a pro-Trump gathering in parliament. While saying that he didn't have any message or advice, he added: "I would say Brexit is Brexit..." "We have come to an agreement which absolutely delivers what people voted for", she said in a statement.

"I'd like to see them be able to work it out so it could go quickly", he said. Reports have indicated that his visit will be met with protests, prompting a warning from the U.S. Embassy in London, which advised Americans in the country to "keep a low profile" in case the demonstrations turn violent.

Winfield House is the only place where Trump will spend time in central London, where demonstrators are expected to gather in their tens of thousands for a march on Friday afternoon, hours after a giant "Trump baby" balloon is flown near the UK Parliament in an eye-catching stunt.

The president wore a black tuxedo for the occasion as he escorted his wife from the USA ambassador's London residence in Regent's Park to the awaiting helicopter Marine One.

Trump added that May's "soft" blueprint for the U.K.'s future dealings with the European Union would probably "kill" any future trade deals with the United States.

They said that the performers will also be marching with a fetish group, as Fetish Week London is running from July 8 to 15.

The Trumps will have left town the night before for Scotland, where the President owns two golf properties, Trump Turnberry and Trump Aberdeen.

They will then meet the Queen for the first time, at Windsor Castle, before heading to Scotland where the USA president will spend the weekend at his Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire.

Then on Monday, he will be off to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Tomorrow, May and Trump will visit an unnamed defence site to view a demonstration of UK military capabilities, as a showcase of integrated UK-US military training.

"From the public, the welcome will be far from warm", he told lawmakers on Wednesday, noting there would be protests across the country against Trump's "abysmal record on human rights, his repugnant attitude towards women and his disgusting treatment of minorities".
